We had just enough time to get some breakfast and took in a few more city sights before hitting the road to the medieval town of Eger.<\/p>\n<p>Eger is noted for making great wine (bull&#8217;s blood) and for having the most furthest north minaret. The Turks made it pretty far north.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to take the long way around so we could view the countryside and have a look at some of the villages along the route.<\/p>\n<p>Hungarians are known for their horsemanship. We were lucky enough to be passing by a town that was having a competition. We stopped for a few minutes to watch the event. As we arrived there was a carriage driving agility competition in progress. The skill of the horses and drivers were very impressive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debbiewebbie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/20120923-215824.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"align-none size-full\" alt=\"20120923-215824.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/debbiewebbie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/20120923-215824.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At night, we hung out in the hotel bar with the cool cats from the neighborhood.
