Was a great day overall, but we didn’t get to do most of what we planned for the day.
\nThe morning was bright and clear, and the gang went to the pool came back and we did a little last min. shopping in the AM. We then took to the road heading south to see the notorious volcano Eyjafjallajokull (say that 3 times) via the fishing villages of Eyarbakki & Stokkseryri. \u00c2\u00a0As we headed out of town, we could see the dark gray cloud looming ahead, it was not a good sign of things to come. \u00c2\u00a0As we got to the fishing villages it just got grayer and soon, it was getting very nasty. \u00c2\u00a0By the time we got back to the main road the weather was so bad and it was getting late we decided that we should go back to the city.<\/p>\n

We made it back just in time to get to Happy Hour at The English Pub. The staff were super friendly and helpful. \u00c2\u00a0We asked for recommendations for a good meal and were given 2 options, both only a block away from the pub. \u00c2\u00a0We decided on the Tapas bar. Wonderful is all I can say about that, go there if you are ever in Iceland.<\/p>\n

Went back to the pub for the handball game, Iceland against Austria. It was a very close game, Iceland won. It;s always a treat to be in a native country’s bar when they win a tournament.<\/p>\n
