Given that our room at the Hasenda Mexicana had none of the wifi available as advertised in our room, we used the restaurant’s bar to update the blog.<\/p>\n

What we had for breakfast. It was fresh and tasty .<\/p><\/div>\n

Paul was looking forward to some huevos rancheros\u00c2\u00a0for breakfast but, since we were the only overnight patronas, we were informed that we had to go to another location in town called The Mosen in the morning.<\/p>\n

We believe our hostess said something about it being off season they were also surprised that we had a reservation from booking. Perhaps\u00c2\u00a0it being officially their off season may indeed have left them unprepared for tourista\u00c2\u00a0callers.<\/p>\n

We\u00c2\u00a0reflected on how much we really wanted to come back and explore Croatia and Slovenia some more, and reminded ourselves that these quick whirlwind tours though new locations are kind of like our scouting missions.<\/p>\n

And, speaking of coming back to places, if you have been following the travel blog the last few trips, you may remember that our last visit to Austria was not very fruitful. Heavy driving rain, cloud cover from sky above and earth below kept the Alps hidden behind a veil so thick that not one peak was able to break through the blanket\u00c2\u00a0last time. I was pretty sure there were no mountains under there to be seen.<\/p>\n

This time around, under perfectly blue and clear skies, we spent\u00c2\u00a0the day traveling though the legendary mountains, stopping at every lookout along the way. \u00c2\u00a0It\u00c2\u00a0was a great drive and I am glad we came back to this place for\u00c2\u00a0it. If you are in the area you must take the ride though the park and you too can wonder how in the world did Hannibal\u00c2\u00a0get those elephants over those mountains anyway? Could that really be a true story?<\/p>\n

Along will pull overs every few meters to take in the sights, there were places to get caffe. We soon discovered that not all road caffe in Europe was as good as what we got in Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia.<\/p>\n

We got into Salzburg around 4:30, found\u00c2\u00a0our place, and dark fell as we were eating in the restaurant where\u00c2\u00a0we were staying. \u00c2\u00a0We found a bar for after dinner drinks and a Greek restaurant\u00c2\u00a0for desert. Amazing. We had little other adventures today.<\/p>\n
