Today’s sunrise, it was pretty overcast and the day turned out to be very warm. The heat broke when we got some storms.

Got up early again today and, omg, so did the lazy bones Paul.  So we decided we would go up to the beach and see what the sunrise had to offer us this morning.  In know, not another sunrise (or sunset) picture, but you have to take them if you camp here. It’s in the rules.

Then, on the spur of the moment, we realized the streets of the old town would be mostly empty so decided to hit the Aussie coffee house again then take some photos.

Below are images of St. Augustine as you’ve never seen it before. (Unless you’ve been here in the early morning sometime in your life, received St. A. post cards, looked at professional travel photos, etc., etc.)

The morning light was great for photos. They are shown here in slide show view. You can navigate through by clicking the left or right side of an image. To see the full resolution photo, right-click and choose “open image in new tab”.

It ended up being pretty warm today mid-80s then the rain came in the afternoon which cooled things off nicely.

As we usually do when we travel, we like to scope out the local real estate market. The hot properties in this area are, of course, on the ocean. And they get closer to really being *on* the ocean with each passing storm. But that risk doesn’t seem to cool the real estate market. The oceanside land is selling at a premium and, judging by the new mansions under construction, buying and building continues unabated. There is one piece of land, shown here, that’s advertised as .31 acres in the high six figures. The realtor may need to periodically reduce that by a few hundredths of an acre.
