Poopsies’s great adventure…

Poopsie is a little yellow bear who lives at our house. Seems like the little bear heard of our latest adventure and somehow found his way into my travel bag. Silly little bear.

The little bear found his way out of the bag once we were on the plane. He was very excited about being on plane for the first time. So he wanted to look out the window the whole time!
No wonder the little bear was so excited our plane was a Boeing 747, which is a very large plane.

Here Poopsie looks out of window of the plane as we fly over New York State he can see the Statue of Liberty far below. If you look very carefully you will see it too.

The little bear was very excited to see the Rhine River and especially all the castles along it.
There were lots of interesting tales involving the river. All of the castles have a story to go with them, and then there are those of the Loralie and the six sisters of the river. But Poopise really thought that this castle on this island was a fun shape and thought it would be a great place for him to have his photo taken. The Castle on the island is called Mauseturm which means mouse tower.

20120916-235200.jpg To get to the next castle, which was in much better condition and is still lived in by the owners, we had to travel over lots of little tiny roads, that only one car can fit on, like when going to Granny’s house. But! the roads were very curvy and twisty. Sometimes we will meet other cars along the way and Grandpaul would have to pull over very close to the side of the mountain. It was very exciting and a little bit scary too sometimes. We got a very nice resting spot and I thought it would be a great idea to have my photo taken here too. I do like having my photo taken.

Poppsie stayed in the very nice village of Boppard after a busy day of exploring the castles and country side along the Rhine River. In the morning he got up early to leave for his next adventure and thought it might be a good idea to drive up the big side of the mountain in the village to see if he could get a good look of the river and the valley. It is a very big valley and river the people of Germany use barges to move goods that people need from city to city.
