Today we had lots of adventures, our friend Mars took us to see lots of very Dutch sights. I got so go to a real windmill!!! It was very exciting. This windmill is not used for keeping water out of the country but is for grinding grain, like corn, into flour and meal. Like the kind you use for making bread. The windmill is very quite when the wind spins the blades around. But when the miller hooks up the grindstones it gets very noisy in there.
I enjoyed seeing the windmill very much.
We also went to the village where the artist Vincent Van Gogh lived. There is an wonderful information center there all about his life when he lived there.
Inside you will see his life story told to you with many illustrations and his paintings. They even have a little room that you can go in that is set up like a room in one of the paintings he made when he lived there in the village. It is called the potato eaters, it is a very famous painting now.
The whole village has markers that gives you details about what he did or painted at the locations.
In the town park there is a nice statue of him carrying his sketch book.
Poopsie is sure one lucky little guy.
