We landed in Halsett Hallstatt [editor’s note: hat tip to param for the correction] just around lunch time as planned so we parked the car and were about to head out to find a cafe when Paul spies and abandoned building on the hillside by the car park. I could not be convinced to trespass on property so close to town. Paul is wishing Mars was there to go have some exploring fun with him. He headed off to the house alone and Poopsie and I head off to the park looking for the magical view of the town for photos.
The town is tucked into the mountain side and you must enter it by a tunnel. The light is constantly changing and gives the mountains and town a different look with every cloud.
Lots of light beams that were hard to catch with this little point and shoot, swans and ducks gliding along the water, lovely houses with gardens. This place is a landscape photographer’s dream come true.
Not much more to say about the visit, so I will just put in some photos.
Onward to Hungary to meet some friends!
Halstatt!!!! ^.^
