Spent the morning exploring more of Regensburg Germany after breakfast. Our hotel was 600 years old and part of the former home of the patriarchal family from the book of Regens. Breakfast was served in the family chapel.  So many great buildings with wonderful old details, curvy cobbled streets where the buildings are so close they almost touch one another across the street and, of course, many squares filled with cafes and churches. The city includes a Roman Gateway dating back to 179 AD, which has been tuned into living quarters.
We headed out of town about noon to make our way to our first stop in the Czech Republic , Cesky Krumlov. An amazing renaissance city built high on the side of a hill spreading out on both sides of the river with a baroque castle perched atop of it.
Then onward to our night time destination of Ceske Budejovice where Budweiser beer was originally created. We pulled into town before sunset this time, found our place for the night then out for some food. A great dinner and some Pilsner and traditional pancakes for dessert, yummy. Another old city with a huge square lined with tall buildings. Many of which are painted in pastel colors or amazing details, including faux stone work that looks incredibly 3D until you get right up under them. We will explore more tomorrow in the morning.
