Starting off the day with a very nice breakfast at a little place called Always Sunday. Had a veggie Haggis, to-ma-toe, some veggie sausages, and a bit of scrambled egg. Stopped in to St. Gilles for a look around for a few minutes  at the the Edward Burn Jones/William Morris & Co. stained glass windows. We made our way up to the castle on the hill, where we were greeted by a William Wallace impersonator. Was really fun watching the folks interact with him, including Janet of course.

After sometime there exploring all the castle has to offer, including going to one of my ancient grannie’s chapel, we decided to head out on a separate adventure to locate her grave, while Colleen and Janet went on a mission to find out about Scottish Whisky (no e). But, before we left for Dunferline we headed of to Mercat Tours to sign up for the Ghosts and Ghouls tour. We made it over the Forth bridge just before dark found what remained of the grannies chapel to snap a few photos, the church was closed. So back we headed to join the others at Creels, located on Hunter street for a super yummy Dinner. We all commented on how lucky we have been finding great places to eat.

After dinner, we made it to our tour group assembly point at the appointed time, where our tour guide greeted everyone with a short quiz about how they feel about ghosts. Over all a very nice touch. We all got into the tour and had a great time. Our guide was a great story teller and you can tell she really liked doing the tours. A really fun time.

And if that was not a full enough day, when the tour ended we headed for a small pub just across High Street called the Scotsman’s Lounge, that the others heard about during their whisky education. Place was packed and music was loud, was fun and filled with lots of tipsy people.

That’s it for now, it is late and we have another full day ahead of us tomorrow. Can’t believe that we will be leaving for home very soon.
