Well this is it, the last night for the grand vacation. Was a full day again, but doesn’t seem like we did much compared to the other days.
After breakfast we headed off to Rosslyn Chapel. Â The restoration of the chapel appears much further along that it was a few (six!) years back. Â There were also a lot more people there than last time, which is partly attributable to Dan Brown’s book. The canopy over the roof is gone now and soon central heating will be installed. Until then, you can watch your breath leave your body as you exhale and try to think about what that must have been like as an everyday living experience.
We headed back to the city, and passed Sandy Bell’s pub which is known for it’s live daily traditional music. At last we located it!
After we stopped off at the apt. we headed down St. George’s Bridge Road, over to Victoria and Bow so Janet could check out a yarn shop. Then we headed over to Sandy Bell’s for a beer and rest.
We headed back to the apartment for a few mins the 3 of us cased the streets for food and drink places. Â Janet joined up a bit later.
Had some nice dinner at a whisky bar which started us down the road of a night of whisky tasting.
Well have to pack and I am just too tired to write anymore. Will post some more photos soon.
